Engine question...

I'm thinking of swapping b16a into my DX but the engine shop said that I will lose my AC & power steering. Is there any other engine that will allow me to keep those two???

Plus he quoted me $3500 to put the B16A+transmission+wiring+water pump+timing belt+labor. Is that a good price?

Damn Dog!! Find another shop!! He's tryin to rip you a new a$$hole man. I can get you a GSR motor swapped into your ride for that much. b16 installed by a shop should only run you bout 2000-2500. Since you live here in Cali... best place I recommend goin to is Raceline Development. If you read SuperStreet, Elton (Owner) has been in there a couple times. check it out @ http://www.racelinedevelopment.com
Elton's good as shit. Possibly the fastest swapper in the west. Did my buddies GSR swap in one day into a 92 Si Hatchback.

the GSR is from the Integra GSR - it is a b18 engine. Take your time deciding on your swap...especially if you are new to swapping. There are manymanymany different options available for 4th gens...anything from Japenese motors (like the b16 or ZC) to some Integra motors, and even 5th gen Civic and DelSol motors.
All swaps cost money and different ones have different advantages. I personally have chosen the ZC swap for my 4-door due to ease of swap (plan to do it myself) and $$$. I don't want a race car yet...just more than 92HP.

yep, I just started thinking about modifying my car about a month ago. My friends were into serious mods, but they had other cars, not Honda's. It's just so hard to be a newbie!

I'll keep asking questions until u guys tell me to shut up! LOL

Thanks for the info hotcivic4g! Raceline is close to where I live. What's kind of engine is the GSR? never heard of it.
